Introducing our Authors: Part II

Today we are pleased to introduce the second of our authors, Bud Elliott.

After a nearly fifty-year career in broadcast journalism, Bud Elliott retired from the anchor desk at KSEE-TV in May of 2014. Beginning as an after-school disc jockey at a small rock and roll radio station 1965 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Bud’s career has led him to Denver, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Richmond, Virginia, and Fresno.

Along the way on several occasions he served as news director of small and large staffs. He has flown airborne daily traffic reports, traveled throughout the region and the nation on assignments, anchored or co-anchored thousands of radio and television newscasts alongside some of America’s finest talent, interviewed the high and the low; covered important stories and snoozers.
There were twelve nominations for Emmy awards and one statue, seven Associated Press Awards for reporting, and, most coveted, the Fresno County Farm Bureau journalism award in both print and broadcast.

Graduated from Colorado State University in 1970 with a degree in history, minor in journalism.
