Hillary’s “Overheating”

Well, Hillary Clinton’s very bad weekend just got a whole lot worse, and her campaign for the presidency may have been fatally compromised.

By getting sick at the 911 memorial service in New York City on Sunday morning — and by her campaign’s initial claim that she was merely “overheated” — Clinton’s health is now a major part of the campaign.  And her doctor’s later claim that she had been suffering from pneumonia does nothing to diminish concern about her long-term health.

Previously, Donald Trump and his talk-radio supporters had been spreading unsubstantiated rumors and/or charges that Hillary is weak — sick — unable to undertake the job of president.

Most of that talk was based on selectively edited videos of Hillary coughing during campaign appearances. I don’t know about you, but occasionally I have to cough, as well.

But now — after Hillary’s show of weakness at the memorial service — and a campaign “clarification” that seems like a lie — her health is part of the national conversation — and it’s a legitimate topic. And that — following her stupid comments that half of Donald Trump’s supporters belong in a “basket of deplorables” — and her ongoing lies about her use of a private email server when she was Secretary of State — may be enough to propel Trump, of all people, into the Oval Office.
